Testing speed skiing

A champion discipline

Explore the thrill of speed skiing in Vars, an experience accessible to everyone, not just champions. From the age of 6, the stadium opens its doors to you to hurtle down the Chabrières piste, the fastest in the world, under the expert tutelage of Simon Billy, world record-holder at 255.50 km/h.

Guided by Simon Billy, immerse yourself in the excitement of speed skiing, pushing your limits with professional advice for a controlled 'tout schuss'. Speed skiing isn't just about speed, it's an ingenious dance with the air, embodied by the coefficient of penetration in the air, the CX! The glide, the wind in your ears, the aerodynamic posture, all combine to create a crucial muscular sheathing that delivers exhilarating sensations. After crossing the line, straighten up, arms open as if to embrace the air, your body becoming the brake before the classic turns to mark the stop.

Once at the bottom, the desire to climb back up and surpass your performance becomes irresistible. This unique experience, where champions exceed 250 km/h, creates a contagious passion that calls for repetition. Receive a diploma, your testimony of speed, a pride to add to your list of achievements after hurtling down the fastest track in the world. A must for holidaymakers in Vars!
