Get ready for an unforgettable experience in Vars with the Caribou rail luge, the resort's star attraction!

Over a length of 1027 metres, you'll hurtle down a 123-metre drop, with a succession of twists, waves, bumps and chicanes, offering you a mountain of sensations in the heart of the larch forest.

Get insured of your safety and comfort thanks to the double-rail structure of this sled, which will give you unique sensations. Whether you're on your own or in a duo, climb through a magnificent forest for around 500 metres to reach the starting point at an altitude of over 2000 metres. With an average gradient of 12% and a peak of 35%, you can expect tight bends, chicanes, twists and even jumps. You're in total control of your speed, which means you can reassure the youngsters, challenge your friends or simply let off the brakes for a maximum dose of adrenalin.

But wait, there's more! Every Friday during the February holidays, don't miss the night sessions. The rails light up along their entire length for a magical experience with breathtaking views over the resort and the Vars valley.

Practical information

Opening times :

Every day from 16 December 2023 to 7 April 2024 (except in the event of bad weather).

Opening times:

From 10:30 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 19:00 during school holidays and until 18:00 outside school holidays.
Late-night opening until 8pm every Friday during the February school holidays.

Accessibility:

On foot or on skis, the Caribou luge is accessible from the ski area and is located at the top of the resort towards the Col de Vars.
You can also take the shuttle buses and get off at the "Fournet" stop, at the top of the resort towards the Col de Vars, at Fournet, level with car park P9, you'll find the famous rail toboggan.
Rail sledging is open to adventurers from the age of 3.
Younger children under 1.45 m will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Where is the business located?

To get to the toboggan run, take the shuttle buses and get off at the "Fournet" stop.

At the top of the resort towards the Col de Vars, at Fournet, in the P9 car park, you'll find the famous rail sled.
